Our company has been producing electro-mechanical cockpit door locks for over 50 years.

These systems have typically included a solenoid operated electric strike and a door latch.  Current designs now include multi-point door bolting systems (with no door latch to be operated from the cabin as was common in the past) and strikes along with a controller and means for secure access from the cabin.

Proven designs ensure reliability backed by over 50 years of field experience.

Design flexibility has allowed us to adapt our systems to many challenging applications.  We now use solenoids that are round in shape (traditional) and flat.  These are made in-house at Adams Rite.  We have also developed fast reacting solenoids to meet the decompression requirements on some aircraft.

Platforms using our system in the past included all Boeing, Douglas and Lockheed aircraft.  Platforms using our systems today include:

Airbus Single Aisle • Airbus LR / ULR • Airbus Widebody

Airbus A380 • Airbus A350

Antonov An-148 • Bae-146 • Boeing 747, 767, 777

Emb 170/190,  E2 • Tupolev Tu-214
